[Diary Point = Reporter Park Bo-young] Lee Hyori has reignited interest in a full Fin.K.L reunion after 21 years by sharing a selfie captioned with lyrics from one of the group's biggest hits. On October 27, Lee posted a selfie on social media along with the line "Tell me I'm pretty right now" from Fin.K.L's song "To My Boyfriend."

In the photo, Lee wore a black top and leather jacket, styled with long hair and bold makeup. Pairing nostalgic lyrics from Fin.K.L's heyday with her current look went beyond a simple update, reigniting comeback buzz among fans.

Four-member activities confirmed, but release date still unannounced

Fin.K.L's full reunion was officially confirmed on September 21. Gemstone E&M announced it was preparing a complete group comeback with all four members — Lee Hyori, Ok Joo-hyun, Lee Jin, and Sung Yu-ri.

According to plans revealed afterward, the project is titled "FIN.K.L RE:BLOOM." Centered on new music and live performances, it is expected to roll out a documentary, variety show appearances, an exhibition, official merchandise, brand collaborations, and fan projects, with activities planned to continue through Fin.K.L's 30th debut anniversary.

However, the announcements made so far have not included a release date for new music, album format, dates and venues for the first concert, or ticketing schedules. Specific comeback dates or venues circulating online should therefore not be taken as confirmed.

2000s songs find new life as today's content

At the center of this buzz are old songs resurfacing ahead of any new release. "To My Boyfriend," "Forever Love," "Blue Rain," and "Now" were once consumed through music releases and TV performances, but today they are being revived through short clips and social media captions.

For the generation that remembers Fin.K.L's 1998 debut, this post links the songs of their school days with Lee Hyori's present-day image in a single frame. The way fans encounter these old songs has also changed — some watch short-form videos with their children, while others rediscover the tracks on playlists.

Fin.K.L had no major group activity under its name after the 2005 digital single "Forever Fin.K.L." The four members reunited on JTBC's "Camping Club" in 2019 and even released a new song, but this time the interest feels different, as a long-term activity plan has been presented rather than a one-off broadcast project.

What's confirmed for now is that the four members are resuming activities and the direction of the "RE:BLOOM" project. Lee Hyori's lyric-captioned post adds a moment that brings an old hit song into the present, while a specific comeback date and concert schedule await further announcements.
