[Diary Point = Reporter Eom Ju-yong] The Gimcheon Gimbap Festival, which caused a sellout frenzy in the city of Gimcheon, is heading to Seoul's Seongsu neighborhood for an encore pop-up. The Gimcheon city government announced that the pop-up, themed "Kkodari's Seoul Vacation," will run for three days from November 6 to 8 at S-Factory Live Building B in Seongsu.

The venue is located at 11 Yeonmujang 15-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pop-up lets visitors experience the Gimcheon festival atmosphere in Seoul, combining popular gimbap, official mascot Kkodari merchandise, and live performances.

Three fan-favorite gimbap varieties return

The menu features three gimbap varieties that drew the most attention at the original festival: Gimbap Danri's pollack roe and cucumber gimbap, Ulleungdo Arirang Gimbap's squid-ink garlic chive gimbap, and Lee Dong-gyu's Tongtong Gimbap's cherry blossom gimbap.

Along with existing Kkodari merchandise, new items will debut exclusively at the Seongsu pop-up. However, pricing and quantities for the gimbap and merchandise have not been officially disclosed.

Live shows: Park Young-jin on Nov. 6, Jadu on Nov. 7

The performance lineup is set. On November 6 at 4 p.m., comedian Park Young-jin, Gimcheon's tourism ambassador, will host a gimbap talk concert, followed by a special performance from singer Jadu on November 7 at 4 p.m.

Visitors hoping to get the gimbap or limited-edition merchandise are advised to arrive right at opening time. Since popular menu items sold out early at the original Gimcheon festival, afternoon visitors should check on-site whether their desired items are still available. Those attending for the performances should arrive well before 4 p.m. on the respective dates.

The pop-up runs through November 8, with confirmed performances including Park Young-jin's talk concert on the 6th and Jadu's show on the 7th. Through the pop-up, Gimcheon aims to introduce its local food and mascot character to visitors in the greater Seoul area.
