[Diary Point Reporter Park Bo-young] Episode 11 of SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Doctor X: The Era of the White Mafia’ airs Friday, Nov. 13, at 9:50 p.m. Episode 12 follows on Nov. 14, leaving two episodes until the series finale. According to SBS’s program information, the series airs Fridays and Saturdays at 9:50 p.m. It is directed by Lee Jung-rim and written by Pyeon Seong-geun.

In episode 10, which aired on Nov. 7, intern Park Tae-kyung (Kim Woo-seok) pressed a pillow over the face of sleeping Kim Seung-hyo (Jeon Gook-hwan). Just as Gye Soo-jung (Kim Ji-won) intervened, Seung-hyo greeted her with, “It’s been a long time, Dr. X,” closing out the episode. SBS’s official character description calls Soo-jung a brilliant surgeon dispatched through a doctors’ staffing agency to fill a medical staff shortage at Guseo University.

In SBS’s preview for episode 11, Park Tae-kyung pleads with Gye Soo-jung, “Could you please fail?” Following the ending that hinted at a shared past between Kim Seung-hyo and Gye Soo-jung, viewers will find out what prompted Tae-kyung’s request. SBS describes the series as a medical noir about Gye Soo-jung taking on hospital power structures, guided by the premise of “smashing injustice with skill alone.”

In episode 10, the medical team completed a difficult operation together on Lee Hyun-ah, an 8-year-old patient with childhood cancer. The Mokryeon Society moved to discipline the staff and terminate Gye Soo-jung’s contract, but the disciplinary action was put on hold after Hyun-ah’s mother vowed to hold the hospital and foundation accountable. The cast also includes Lee Jung-eun as Jang Hee-sook, Son Hyun-joo as Boo Seung-kwon, and Kim Woo-seok as Park Tae-kyung. SBS lists them among the drama’s main cast.

Episode 11 airs on SBS Friday at 9:50 p.m., while the finale, episode 12, is scheduled for the same time the following day, Saturday, Nov. 14. The relationships among Gye Soo-jung, Park Tae-kyung, and Jo Won-jin, along with the conflict inside the hospital, will be resolved over the final two episodes. According to SBS, the drama was developed by SBS and Studio S, with Hong Seong-chang, Jang Kyung-ik, Yoo Sang-won, Jo A-ra, Hwang Ki-yong, and Han Seok-won among its production team.
