[DiaryPoint Reporter Park Bo-young] Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, stars of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ along with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, will visit Korea on Dec. 7. Distributor Walt Disney Company Korea says the three will meet local media and fans at a press conference and red-carpet event during a two-day visit. The film opens in Korean theaters on Dec. 16.

Evans played Steve Rogers from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ through ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ This will be his first visit to Korea in 11 years, since he came to promote ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ in 2015. Marvel’s official materials describe Steve Rogers as the leader of the Avengers, and Evans will reprise the role in ‘Doomsday.’

Hemsworth has played Thor in Marvel films. He was in Korea last year to film Season 2 of the Disney+ series ‘Limitless with Chris Hemsworth,’ but this marks his first official visit focused on meeting Korean fans. According to Marvel’s official film materials, ‘Thor,’ Hemsworth’s first appearance as the character, was released in 2011. He later appeared in ‘The Avengers’ (2012), ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ (2015) and ‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019), among other films.

Feige, president of Marvel Studios and a film producer, will join the promotional visit. In a 2025 official interview, Marvel said that Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, stars of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps,’ would return for ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ alongside the Avengers and the X-Men. The film is set to bring together not only familiar Avengers characters but also other Marvel superhero teams.

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ follows the Avengers’ war against Doctor Doom and is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. Marvel’s official film page lists Dec. 18, 2026, as the North American release date; the Korean release is set for Dec. 16, two days earlier.

A press conference and red-carpet event have been announced, but the venue and details on public attendance have not yet been revealed. The distributor has confirmed the Dec. 7 arrival and two days of official events, with further information to come.
