[DiaryPoint = Reporter Park Bo-young] tvN’s drama ‘Hot Goodbye’ will premiere Wednesday, November 11, at 10:50 p.m. It was originally announced as a Friday–Saturday drama beginning Friday, November 6, at 10:30 p.m. The premiere has since been pushed back five days, and the series has moved to a Wednesday–Thursday schedule.

On October 8, tvN announced November 6 as the premiere date, with episodes scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. On October 20, the network changed the date to November 11 and announced that the drama would air Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:50 p.m. tvN’s official program page also lists Wednesday, November 11, at 10:50 p.m. as the premiere.

The series follows three struggling comedians who have spent years chasing their dreams. After meeting a mysterious woman, they set out to find a path forward. tvN describes it as “a passionate and beautiful coming-of-age story about putting failure behind them as each finds a tomorrow of their own.” The drama is based on ‘Konto ga Hajimaru,’ a 2021 series broadcast by Japan’s NTV.

Kang Hoon plays Kang Tae-gu, leader of the comedy trio Asura; Cho Hyun-chul plays Kim Nam-il; and Kim Jung-jin plays Han Jun-seo. Their characters have spent 10 years as unknown comedians. According to tvN, Kim Nam-il has been dating his girlfriend, Lee Na-yeon (Moon Hee), for a decade and is torn between his dream and his relationship. Han Jun-seo is kind to his Asura bandmates but keeps other people at a distance.

Lee Yi-dam, Moon Hee and Yoon Ga-i also star, with the relationships between the three comedians and three women forming a central thread of the story. Announcing the schedule change, tvN called the series “a story about young people who gave everything to their dreams and now search for another tomorrow,” and invited viewers to follow the three leads’ journey as they move beyond failure.

‘Hot Goodbye’ is based on Japan’s NTV drama ‘Konto ga Hajimaru.’ Jung Ji-hyun directs, with Ahn A-reum writing the screenplay and Yang Hee-seung serving as creator. The original NTV series premiered on April 17, 2021, and aired its finale on June 19 that year. ‘Hot Goodbye’ will air Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:50 p.m. on tvN.
